Psychological services offered by BVIU to Beaver County school districts, charter schools and non-public/private schools include:

  • Initial evaluations and reevaluations for special education
  • Autism evaluations (educational Child Find) for preschool age
  • Kindergarten readiness evaluations (per referring district guidelines)
  • Direct service counseling (individual) and skills (group)
  • Professional development related to psychology and learning
  • Parent workshops (e.g. – special education process, child development, problem behaviors, disabilities/disorders)
  • Manifestation Determinations
  • Systems support – consultation related to special education compliance, best practices, programs
  • Crisis intervention and postvention support (short-term in acute crisis situation)
  • Supervision of school psychology interns
  • School Psychologist Professional Learning Community (approximately 15 – Act 48 credits annually)
