In schools across the county, there is a growing understanding that a child’s mental health is paramount to learning and success. But not all students in Beaver County have access to the psychiatric services.that they, and their families, need. Waitlists can be long, transportation can be a barrier, and students get shuffled from clinician to clinician.
This is where Hopeful Minds Wellness Center can help.
An initiative of the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit, Hopeful Minds is a collaboration between community partners to bring mental health services to students in a safe, nurturing setting – their school. Thanks to funding from Beaver County Behavioral Health and our intention to bill insurance (MA and Commercial), these services are free to Beaver County School Districts:
- Psychiatrist, Advanced Practice Professional, Psychologist, and Master’s Level Clinicians.
- Medication Management
- Individual, Group and Family Therapy
- Benefits Coordination
- Evaluations
- Training for Education Staff
- Collaboration with School Staff and Administrators
- Assistance Managing Resources and Levels of Care
All services are designed to provide support to students and their families, address various aspects of mental health and promote overall well-being .
As educators ourselves, the staff at Hopeful Minds understand the needs of school administrators and teachers. We welcome your collaboration and partnership as we work together to serve students in Beaver County.
