The K-12 English Language Learners (ELL) program serves students and districts located within Beaver County as well as surrounding areas. Designed for learners who need direct daily instruction in English, the ELL program provides a research-based curriculum that focuses on the language acquisition process. All teachers are specifically trained and certified in ELL.
BVIU offers individual student evaluations using the WIDA Access Placement Test for initial screening and placement. The test is also used for the administration of the annual state-mandated ACCESS for ELL language proficiency.
Our organization also offers a pathway to becoming an ESL teacher through our ESL Program Specialist certification program.
