Dr. Eric Rosendale

Executive Director

Dr. Rosendale has served as the executive director of the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit since July 2013. Motivated by opportunities to advance the education of all children, he has spent more than two decades focusing on promoting the leadership, vision and spirit of innovation at BVIU. His role has allowed him to lead the development of programs that meet the emerging needs to educate children and meet their societal needs. 

As Executive Director, Dr. Rosendale oversees the implementation of all service programs offered by BVIU where he and his team provide consulting, advisory, education and support services to schools in Beaver County.

A long-time educator, Dr. Rosendale received his Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Geneva College before teaching second grade at Riverside Beaver County School District and Elementary Computers at Beaver Area School District.  He received his Master of Arts in Educational/Instructional Technology from the University of Pittsburgh, where he also pursued and received his Doctor of Education in Administration and Policy Studies. 

Dr. Rosendale is a long-standing member of the AESA, PAFPC, ASCD and PSBA and is certified as an instructional technology specialist through the Pennsylvania Department of Education. He has coached club swimming since January 2008, finding his connection back to the classroom where he instructs and motivates student athletes to be their very best.
