A seasoned fiscal expert with experience in a variety of industries, Connie Harmotto has been BVIU’s business manager since 2005. In her role as the agency’s lead financial officer, Ms. Harmotto oversees all of BVIU’s fiscal operations, accounts payable/receivable, payroll and fiscal operations. Leading a team of fiscal professionals, Ms. Harmotto not only is responsible for budget development and control, but she also serves as the organization’s federal program fiscal coordinator/officer. Ms. Harmotto plays a vital role in contract negotiations with all labor groups and oversees BVIU’s benefit programs. Under her 19-year tenure, BVIU has streamlined multiple fiscal processes, increased efficiencies and centralized key business systems. With her hands-on approach, Ms. Harmotto has tightened BVIU’s financial controls and used technology to improve workflows.

Prior to her work at BVIU, Ms. Harmotto served in fiscal roles in the technology and health care industries. She gained experience in the public education field at Hopewell and Western Beaver school districts. Ms. Harmotto is a graduate of Community College of Beaver County, where she earned an associate’s degree in accounting, and ICM Business School.
