Emergency Substitute Information

Thank you for inquiring about the Emergency Substitute Program. The Program, which is endorsed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the fourteen (14) school districts in Beaver County, the Beaver County Career and Technology Center and the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit helps you obtain an Emergency Permit to serve as a day-to-day substitute in local school districts in Beaver County.  The intent of this program is to increase the number of available substitutes for our public schools.   

 

In order to qualify to be an Emergency Teacher Substitute, the candidate MUST possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. 

In order to qualify to be a Substitute School Nurse the candidate must hold a PA RN license to perform those duties.
