Emergency Substitute Training

Thank you for inquiring about the Emergency Substitute Teacher Program.  The Program, which is endorsed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the fourteen (14) school districts in Beaver County, the Beaver County Career and Technology Center and the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit helps you obtain a Type 06 Emergency Permit to serve as a day-to-day substitute in local school districts in Beaver County.  The intent of this program is to increase the number of available substitutes for our public schools.

In order to qualify for the training program, the candidate MUST possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
