ELL District Programming Support:
The K-12 English Language Learners (ELL) program serves districts from within the BVIU footprint as well as surrounding districts. The program serves students who need direct daily instruction in English with research-based curriculum specifically designed for the language acquisition process. All teachers are specially trained and certified to provide this core content instruction.

ELL Student Evaluation and Proficiency Testing:
The K-12 ESL program provides individual student evaluations using the WIDA Access Placement Test for initial screening and placement. The test is also used for the administration of the state-mandated ACCESS for ELLs language proficiency assessment administered yearly in Pennsylvania.
