1st Year Substitute Information
Thank you for your interest in our Emergency Substitute Program for the 2017-2018 school year. We have scheduled a 2-day training workshop on Thursday and Friday, September 21 & 22, 2017, here at the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. In order to be eligible to receive an Emergency Substitute Teacher Certificate for the 2017-2018 school year, you must participate in this training. Lunch will be provided on the first day. You will visit a school district classroom on the 2nd day (the 3rd) in the morning and return back to the BVIU at 12:30 pm to complete your training.
Please read all directions carefully. Complete the attached registration form and return it, with payment by Friday, September 15, 2017. No registrations will be accepted after this date.
Begin to complete these requirements as soon as possible. If you are mailing in your clearance results, please send a copy. You can also bring a copy of your clearances on the day of training. In order to reserve a spot in the class, you need to send back to me the registration form with payment. All other documents can be submitted on the day of training, or before, but for sure ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED by September 30, 2017
The cost for the training will be $120.00 - by check or money order made out to: Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit

No PDE processing fee is required - bring, or mail, the form to Annie when completed.A TB test will be required and a copy of the TB test results will need to be sent in to me.Official College Transcrips will need to be mailed to my attention.
